GRADUATION MESSAGE

by; Sigfred T. Tong

We are once again in the season of reckoning the winning and achieving the ultimate goals in life. GRADUATION is a period of success. Success in a sense that the word impossible is found only in the dictionary of fools and failures, but instead it means many wonderful and great positive things.

Today, is the reality of your choice and decisions. You have to learn to be comfortable with uncomfortable challenges ahead. You need to cope up with the changing times because you cannot discover new oceans unless you’ve got the courage to lose sight of the shore. Be it noted however, that in every storm is a school. Each trial is a teacher. Every experience is an education and every difficulty is for your development.

My dear graduates, have you ever wondered, “what is your purpose in life? Is there something specific that you should do with your life?” You need to unravel these questions because it can become particularly important as you complete your college today while preparing to enter the employment world in a few short days. What should you do with your life? Your parents as your inspiration were very proud of what you have achieved, favorable to them because they found out that the outcome of their labor in sending you to school to earn a degree is not in vain. The Administrators, the Program Heads, and the Faculty of Instructions are working without crossing their hands with love, passion, and dedication to feed your intellectual wants and needs both academically and spiritually. We give you the most brilliant and significant learning that would able you to perceive future ahead of time and to conquer your fear in facing the real world to come. Be smart to notice your mindset when rough times hit your life. Dismiss any whining, blaming, self pitying, or generally negative thoughts that only serve to pull you down. Our culture as an STIers seldom sees struggling as a positive experience. Hence, find your true selves and perish your understanding no more.

It is a fact that you have to leave your Alma Mater, your comfort zone to reach a new kind of success. Believe that the best success hasn’t been found yet and the best future hasn’t been done yet for you. Welcome those tough times, see them as stepping stones toward the richness of your wisdom. Indeed, you can have the best life you want to be if you embrace all the changes in your life you have today.

In the eyes of STI none is better and none is higher or more praiseworthy than STIers. But each one of you must find your own way. This is all, ultimately, that matters. The rest is details. Once again, CONGRATULATIONS!
